This accessibility declaration applies to: https://www.digitalaustria.gv.at/.

Current status of compliance with the requirements

This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1” due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible due to the following reasons:

a. Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

The following incompatibilities are currently being resolved:

In regards to the entire website:

  • Success criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose (In Context)):
Wherever teasers occur (e.g. on the homepage, under “News” and/or “Projects”), these are have not yet been implemented in an accessible way. As the link in the teaser article is only enclosed by the image and there is no content there (no content accessible to the screen reader on hover/focus), the purpose of the link is therefore unclear. The text content of the teaser should also be included in the link. If this is implemented in this way, success criterion 1.4.13 (Content on hover or focus) is also fulfilled.
  • Success criterion 2.4.5 (Multiple Ways): There are currently no alternative navigation options available. Implementing breadcrumb navigation may provide remedy to this issue.
In regards to individual subpages:
  • Success criterion 2.1.2 (No keyboard trap):
On the start page, keyboard users have to scroll through all the entries on the social media wall to get to the content in the footer. The social media wall should be reconfigured to deactivate automatic scrolling.
